Herbert Kleber, M.D. Director
As part of Dr. Kleber’s Medications Development Center grant, the Center has a mechanism for supporting pilot studies to promote research opportunities for Research Fellows and junior faculty in the Division of Substance Abuse. Since the inception of this Center grant in 1994, 45 pilot studies have been funded. These pilot studies have been instrumental in obtaining grant funding including 11 R01’s, 10 K Awards, 1 NARSAD award, and 1 R-21 and have resulted in 22 peer-reviewed publications, and over 55 presentations at scientific conferences, both national and international.
