Food and Nutrition Service

The Food and Nutrition Department is responsible for maintaining a high quality of care to all patients at PI. Each patient meets with a dietitian and receives a complete nutrition assessment, an appropriate care plan, and monitoring of the effectiveness of the intervention and patient/family nutrition education. The dedicated foodservice workers provide meals made from scratch that are tailored to the special needs of each patient. The Food and Nutrition team takes great pride in their service, and have worked exceptionally well over the past year, while under transient leadership.

Future plans for 2002 – 2003 include menu revisions in effort to continue to meet and exceed patient needs, a detailed analysis of eating disorder patient menus and a renewed departmental cohesiveness and uniformity under the new direction of Stacia Helfand.
