The Institute maintains a program for proper management of utilities which are needed to carry out the facility's missions.

Particular attention is paid to systems which, by their absence, malfunction or misuse would have serious adverse impact on patient care, life safety and/or fire safety. 

Systems are properly maintained, tested and inspected. 

Staff are trained in their appropriate use.
