Recognizing the importance of proper selection, use, inspection, and maintenance of medical and non-medical equipment to the safety and effectiveness of clinical care, the Institute has designed and implemented an Equipment Management Program.

Directly supervised by staff of departments including Nursing, Engineering, and Safety & Security, the Program is under the regular review of the Environment of Care Committee.

The Program includes "first-use" and ongoing staff training in the safe and effective use of equipment.
